According to Anees Alsbahi, a representative for the Houthi health ministry, the ongoing attacks have resulted in at least 53 fatalities, including five children and two women, with 98 individuals reported injured. These casualties were confirmed via a post on X.

The airstrikes from the United States were prompted by prior warnings from the Houthis of imminent attacks on “Israeli-linked ships” in the Red Sea. These threats were issued in retaliation for the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip amid the ongoing conflict.
