Pakistan has urged the Afghan government to take action against those involved in the Jaffar Express attack, condemning the incident as part of a broader terrorist agenda. Furthermore, the spokesperson criticized India’s recent designation of the ‘Awami Action Committee’ and ‘Jammu and Kashmir Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen’ as unlawful associations, heightening the total number of banned Kashmiri political entities to 16. He indicated that this exemplified India’s suppressive tactics aimed at stifling political dissent in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Shafqat Khan called for the Indian government to lift restrictions on Kashmiri political organizations, release all political prisoners, and adhere to the United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, the deputy prime minister voiced his condemnation of proposals for the resettlement of Palestinians in foreign nations, advocating for the establishment of a sovereign State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. He affirmed that the two-state solution remains essential for lasting peace in the region.
