PM Modi is currently on a two-day official visit to Mauritius as the chief guest for the National Day celebrations. On the first day of his visit, he met with his counterpart Navinchandra Ramgoolam, aiming to review existing bilateral relations and identify new opportunities to deepen their “special bond.”

During this meeting, the Indian Prime Minister expressed pride in being a “valued and trusted development partner” for Mauritius, stressing the collaborative efforts of both countries towards advancing the interests of the Global South.
