On a recent occasion, Ambassador Linda Sobeh Ali of the State of Palestine for the Caribbean held a meeting with Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dr. Amery Browne. The discussion, which focused on recent developments within the State of Palestine and the broader geopolitical climate, took place during the 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM in Barbados.

Trinidad and Tobago officially established diplomatic relations with the State of Palestine on September 22, 2024. This pivotal moment was marked by the signing of a Joint Communiqué by Dr. Browne and Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, the Prime Minister of Palestine, at Trinidad and Tobago’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. This initiative followed Trinidad and Tobago’s formal recognition of Palestine in May 2024.
