Iran’s Firm Stance Against Pressure and Sanctions on Human Rights

He reiterated Iran’s commitment to uphold and advance human rights, underscoring that the nation itself has suffered grievously, as over 23,000 Iranians have been killed by acts of terrorism. Gharibabadi also condemned the violence perpetrated by the Israeli regime in Gaza, criticizing those who profess to support human rights yet have failed to act or have even provided political, financial, and military backing to Israel.

Furthermore, Minister Abbas Araqchi expressed unease regarding certain countries exploiting human rights as a means for political and economic coercion or to meddle in domestic affairs. He urged all nations to promote human rights with fairness and impartiality, maintaining that Iran has fallen victim to such policies. Araqchi called for the swift lifting of unilateral sanctions, asserting that they violate fundamental human rights and have inflicted suffering on millions of innocent people.
