On March 10, 2025, Roscan Gold Corporation announced the partial lifting of the mining title suspension by the Government of Mali, which is significant for its Kandiole Gold Project. The Malian Ministry of Mines will recommence processing applications for renewal of research and exploitation permits starting March 15, 2025. This initiative follows the government’s efforts to enhance governance in the mining sector, marking a pivotal development for Roscan’s operations.
The Kandiole Gold Project is notably advanced, with Roscan reporting an indicated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 27.4 million tonnes at 1.2 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, equating to 1.02 million ounces. Additionally, an inferred MRE of 5.2 million tonnes at 1.2 g/t gold constitutes another 0.20 million ounces. These estimates were produced using cut-off grades and a standard gold price of $1,500 per ounce, signaling robust potential for resource expansion.
Roscan Gold has also identified a prospective exploration target for resource growth estimated between 8 million tonnes at 1.0 g/t Au and 30 million tonnes at 0.8 g/t Au, alongside encouraging exploration results outside current resource areas.
