In January, Ecuador experienced a significant surge in shrimp exports, achieving a remarkable 35% growth in volume year-on-year, equating to a total of 102,145 metric tons. According to the National Chamber of Aquaculture (CNA), this increase also reflected a 26% rise in export value. The robust demand from major importers, namely China and the United States, has played a pivotal role in driving this growth alongside improved market dynamics within the aquaculture industry.
