The PRIORITY Summit in Miami showcased Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in key sectors, attracting global leaders and investors. President Trump participated, expressing optimism for future conflict resolution and encouraging U.S. investments. The event highlighted investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, underlining the nation’s technological and economic advancements, particularly in AI and renewable energy.

The PRIORITY Summit, hosted by the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute in Miami, showcased Saudi Arabia’s expanding impact in geopolitics, finance, technology, and sports. Top leaders from various sectors attended, reaffirming the summit’s significance as a critical global investment platform. President Donald Trump, one of the key speakers, expressed hope for conflict resolution by 2025 and acknowledged Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for facilitating U.S.-Russia discussions on the Ukraine crisis.

The summit emphasized the abundance of investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia, particularly in infrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI), sports, and healthcare, while highlighting the nation’s interest in pursuing international ventures. H.E. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, the Saudi Minister of Investment, announced a new office to streamline inbound and outbound investments, together with prominent figures including Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. and Miami’s Mayor.

H.E. Yassir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), discussed the fund’s nearly $1 trillion assets, expressing confidence in AI as a job creator and economic enhancer. “AI will elevate us, as humans. It will help create jobs as we move from first an agriculture-based economy, then an industrial-based economy,” he stated during a dialogue with former Google CEO Eric Schmidt.

A high-level investment panel led by Robert Smith underscored that global investors must consider the evolving geopolitical landscape and technological shifts. Lisa McGeough, CEO of U.S. Operations at HSBC, identified Southeast Asia, India, the U.S., and Saudi Arabia as the four leading regions for investment in 2025, citing their respective growth and policies.

As countries shift towards an AI-driven economy, experts discussed energy as a critical enabler of AI growth. During a session led by Sir Martin Sorrell, industry leaders highlighted the challenges posed by compute infrastructure limitations. H.E. Abdullah Alswaha, Saudi Minister of Communications and IT, reported that the nation is witnessing a digital transformation, resulting in a significant digital economy.

The Saudi Ministry reported a target of sourcing 50% of energy from renewables by 2032. H.E. Al-Rumayyan described the nation’s renewable energy resources, advocating the narrative “Shine, baby, shine” in contrast to other countries’ energy strategies.

Since its inception in 2017, the FII Institute has rapidly become a vital forum for investment dialogue, having facilitated $200 billion in investments under Richard Attias’ leadership. The recent announcement of new executive leadership aims to build on this legacy.

RPA2AI Research, an AI industry analyst firm, is also contributing to conversations around governance and investments in AI, led by founder Kashyap Kompella, who has authored notable works on AI.

The PRIORITY Summit underscored Saudi Arabia’s vital role in attracting global investment as the nation continues to develop its economy under Vision 2030. With significant figures such as President Trump lending support and discussions centered around energy and AI, the summit facilitated important dialogues about future investment trends. Enhanced collaboration and innovative strategies are necessary as the world navigates through technological advancements and geopolitical changes.
