Phase 2 Drilling at Namibia’s Engo Valley Project Set for March 2025
Snow Lake Resources will commence its Phase 2 drilling program at the Engo Valley Uranium project in Namibia in March 2025. The program entails 7,500 meters of drilling focused on supporting an initial mineral resource estimate expected in late 2025. CEO Frank Wheatley highlighted the project’s role in meeting increasing uranium demand driven by energy needs from modern technologies.
Snow Lake Resources, a company focused on uranium exploration and development, is scheduled to initiate its Phase 2 drill program at the Engo Valley Uranium project in Namibia in mid-March 2025. This ambitious program will include 7,500 meters of reverse circulation and diamond drilling across the Main Uranium Occurrence and D1 prospects. The data obtained from this drilling will contribute to the first mineral resource estimate, anticipated in the latter half of 2025. Previously, the Phase 1 exploration campaign in 2024 successfully confirmed the presence of uranium mineralization at both prospects.
Frank Wheatley, the Chief Executive Officer of Snow Lake, expressed the company’s objective to showcase the potential of the Engo Valley project to fulfill the growing global demand for uranium. This demand is significantly driven by the energy needs of data centers and advancements in artificial intelligence technologies.
This announcement coincides with the upcoming African Mining Week Conference & Exhibition, a key event for exploring various mining opportunities throughout Africa. The conference will take place concurrently with the African Energy Week: Invest in African Energies 2025 from October 1-3 in Cape Town.
