MDR Endorses Representative Samuel Kogar for Nimba County By-Election
The MDR has endorsed Representative Samuel Kogar for the April 2025 Nimba County by-election. Party leaders emphasize unity among Nimbaians while calling for loyalty to Kogar’s candidacy. In anticipation of the by-election scheduled for April 22, 2025, in Nimba County, the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) has officially nominated Representative Samuel Kogar of District 5 as its candidate. The endorsement was made during a gathering attended by numerous supporters and 21 members of the MDR National Executive Committee.
MDR Vice Chairman Kelvin D.J. Msttadi disclosed that Representative Kogar’s endorsement was endorsed following an assessment of his leadership and results prior to the decision. Kogar’s formal request played a crucial role in this endorsement, reflecting the party’s confidence in his capabilities.
MDR National Chairman Cllr. Cooper Kruah called for solidarity among Nimbaians, urging all representatives from the county’s nine electoral districts to unite behind the party’s candidate. He underscored the need to honor the legacy of the late Senator Prince Yormie Johnson, advocating against divisions that could weaken the party’s support.
