Libya Supports Somalia’s UN Security Council Candidacy

Libya’s Head of Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, affirmed support for Somalia’s UN Security Council candidacy during a press conference with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud. Mohammed Menfi, the Head of Libya’s Presidential Council, publicly affirmed Libya’s backing for Somalia’s candidacy for non-permanent membership on the United Nations Security Council for this year. He communicated this support during a joint press conference with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud in Tripoli, underlining Somalia’s capability to advocate for the interests of Arab and African nations at the Council.
