Earlier this week, the delegation participated in discussions with UK think tanks, shedding light on the cross-border terrorism challenge and articulating how Operation Sindoor has reshaped India’s counter-terrorism strategies. Ravi Shankar Prasad shared insights via a social media post regarding their fruitful dialogue on the ‘new normal’ of tackling state-sponsored terrorism and how economic growth ties into national security, asserting, “terrorism and trade are incompatible.”

In concert, another parliamentary delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde has wrapped up a significant visit to Liberia. In the West African nation, dialogues with President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and other officials reinforced India’s persistent anti-terror message alongside strengthening bilateral ties.

This visit not only acknowledged Liberia’s condolences following the Pahalgam attack but also reiterated the necessity for a unified international response to terrorism. Meanwhile, in Egypt, NCP (SP) Supriya Sule’s delegation engaged with the League of Arab States, emphasizing shared priorities in counter-terrorism operations with Arab leaders.

The delegation also interacted with Egypt’s vibrant Indian community, who expressed support for India’s anti-terrorism stance. Indian Ambassador Suresh Reddy highlighted Egypt’s commitment to counter-terrorism, as emphasized in meetings with Senate officials.
