During a telephone announcement broadcasted via local community radio, Koung, affiliated with the ruling Unity Party, expressed his confidence in Kogar’s capabilities to succeed the late Johnson. “I believe Kogar has all it takes to replace the late Johnson,” Koung asserted, indicating a clear preference for Kogar while noting his intention to support a different candidate in future elections.
Koung also made an appeal to the Mah people of Nimba, suggesting that they should allow the Dan people to participate in this election in the interest of community stability and balance. He emphasized, “Let’s keep the balance to make the County stable. Let’s keep our county together and it will be in our interest.”
