Ferdinand Steenkamp, Co-Founder of Tregter, a data company in Cape Town, emphasized the impact of this initiative, stating, “Bringing Google Cloud services closer to our local customers will enable them to innovate… and contribute a cumulative US$2.1 billion to South Africa’s GDP, supported by the creation of over 40,000 jobs by 2030.”

With Africa’s internet economy projected to reach $180 billion by 2025, representing 5.2% of the continent’s GDP, Google South Africa’s offering is set to position the region at the forefront of technological advancements.
