Ghana Enhances Bilateral Relations with Ukraine and Georgia
Ghana’s Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has engaged in discussions with Ukraine and Georgia to strengthen bilateral relations. These meetings aimed at securing agreements focused on education, agribusiness, and diplomatic presence, particularly following the conflict involving Ukraine. Both nations have indicated interest in enhancing cooperation with Ghana.
Ghana has intensified its diplomatic relations with Ukraine and Georgia through discussions held by Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa at the Raisina Dialogue in India. These engagements aim to facilitate bilateral agreements that will bolster Ghana’s economy and agribusiness sectors.
During the meetings, Ukraine expressed its intent to restore medical scholarship opportunities and expand educational partnerships with Ghana post-conflict. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized their commitment to agribusiness initiatives as Ukraine seeks to revitalize its economy.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister indicated optimism regarding the conclusion of their conflict with Russia, stating a desire for peace in the region. Georgia, on the other hand, is contemplating the establishment of a diplomatic office in Accra to enhance collaboration across educational, agricultural, and tourism sectors.
Minister Ablakwa conveyed appreciation for the cordiality and respect shown by both Andrii Sybiha and Maka Botchorishvili of Ukraine and Georgia, respectively, during their discussions.
