In my previous role as Minister for Foreign Affairs and Gambians Abroad, and subsequently as Vice President, I had the privilege of collaborating closely with Mr. Tambadou. I can attest to his exceptional legal abilities and unwavering dedication to upholding the rule of law and justice.

Having served as The Gambia’s second longest-serving legal practitioner, I witnessed Mr. Tambadou in the early stages of his career advocating for human rights cases pro bono. His commitment to justice was further demonstrated when he worked for the United Nations Special Tribunal for Rwanda.

As Attorney General, Mr. Tambadou gained the Gambia Government’s full support in bringing international attention to the plight of the Rohingya people. Given his comprehensive experience and dedication, I am confident in his capacity to enhance the work of the International Court of Justice as a Judge.
