North Korea Condemns U.S. Military Action in Yemen as Unjustified

North Korea has condemned the U.S. strikes against Yemen, categorizing them as violations of international law and sovereignty. Ambassador Ma Dong Hui criticized the attacks for targeting civilians and stated that such actions are unjustifiable. The U.S. strikes, initiated by President Trump, reportedly resulted in significant civilian casualties.

North Korea has officially condemned the recent U.S. military strikes on Yemen, categorizing the actions as violations of international law and the sovereignty of Yemen. The condemnation comes from the North’s state media, which quoted Ambassador Ma Dong Hui, who holds dual responsibilities in both Yemen and Egypt. He stated that such military actions by the U.S. can never be justified under any circumstances.

These extensive strikes were executed by President Donald Trump to target the Iran-aligned Houthi group in response to their attacks on shipping in the Red Sea. Reports from the Houthi-run health ministry indicate that the assaults resulted in the deaths of at least 53 individuals, inclusive of women and children.

Ambassador Ma criticized the U.S. for launching indiscriminate attacks on civilians and infrastructure using air and naval forces, including an aircraft carrier. He articulated that this military invasion constitutes a serious breach of the U.N. Charter, undermining international law and infringing upon Yemen’s sovereignty.

He expressed significant concern over what he termed as the ‘illegal and reckless military actions’ by the United States, attributing these actions to an obsession with geopolitical ambitions. In his statement, Ambassador Ma strongly condemned and rejected the U.S. actions in Yemen.

The U.S. Defense Department reported that these strikes targeted over thirty locations and were executed by fighter jets deployed from a carrier stationed in the Red Sea.

North Korea has taken a firm stance against the recent U.S. military strikes on Yemen, condemning such actions as violations of international law. The North Korean ambassador has raised concerns about the impact on civilians and sovereignty, describing the strikes as indiscriminate and unjustifiable. This condemnation highlights the ongoing geopolitical tensions and differing perspectives on military interventions.
