As a self-identified Hindu American, Gabbard shared how the teachings from the Mahabharata, particularly Lord Krishna’s guidance to Arjuna, inspire her. She said, “Whether serving in war zones in different parts of the world or facing current challenges, it is Krishna’s teachings… that I turn to in the best of times and the worst of times.”
Currently on a multi-nation tour, which includes Japan, Thailand, and France, Gabbard arrived in New Delhi for a two-and-a-half-day visit. During her stay, she met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to address bolstering strategic ties between India and the US, particularly in defense and information sharing. She also engaged with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and is scheduled to speak at the Raisina Dialogue.
