Somali Army and Local Forces Achieve Major Successes Against Al-Shabaab

In Bakool, the SNA, in collaboration with local troops, achieved another significant victory, eliminating over 40 Al-Shabaab fighters. This success underscores the Somali government’s steadfast commitment to eradicating the militant group, which has been a longstanding threat for nearly two decades. Furthermore, deployment agreements for AUSSOM troops from Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Egypt, and Uganda have been finalized, with Burundi pending agreement on troop numbers.
