Iran Condemns Trump’s Remarks as Reckless and Provocative
Iran criticized the remarks of U.S. President Donald Trump at the UN, calling them reckless and provocative, while denying allegations of violating Security Council resolutions regarding Yemen.
On March 17, Iran conveyed to the United Nations Security Council that statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump and other American officials were deemed “reckless and provocative.” The Iranian delegation accused the U.S. of making “baseless accusations” and issuing threats of force against Iran.
Iran’s U.N. Ambassador, Amir Saeid Iravani, firmly stated in the letter that Iran “strongly and categorically rejects any accusation” regarding violations of Security Council resolutions pertaining to arms embargoes in Yemen, as well as any claims of involvement in destabilizing activities within the region.
