UAE and Sweden Formalize Political Consultations Agreement
The UAE and Sweden have signed an agreement to enhance political consultations and cooperation in economy, trade, education, and culture, during a meeting in Stockholm led by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Swedish officials.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Sweden have officially signed an agreement aimed at enhancing political consultations and fostering collaboration across various sectors. These sectors include economy, trade, education, and culture, demonstrating a commitment to strengthen bilateral relations.
This agreement was reached during a meeting in Stockholm between His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Maria Malmer Stenergard, the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs. Sheikh Abdullah is conducting a working visit to the Nordic nation.
During this visit, Sheikh Abdullah also engaged in discussions with Swedish Minister of Defence Pål Jonson. Notably, he participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) alongside Benjamin Dousa, Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, which aims to enhance investment and business opportunities between both countries.
