Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed the receipt of the letter, which was delivered by Anwar Gargash, a diplomatic aide to the United Arab Emirates’ president. Araqchi shared this information on his Instagram after engaging in discussions with Gargash regarding various mutual and regional topics.

Earlier that same day, Araqchi announced to reporters that a representative from an Arab nation would deliver Trump’s letter to Iran. In a related development on March 7, Trump confirmed in an interview that he had reached out to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, proposing the reopening of nuclear negotiations. However, the Supreme Leader has since emphasized that engaging in dialogue with the U.S. would not effectively address any existing issues.
