Fuel Prices Set to Decrease in Jamaica Effective December 5, 2024
Jamaican fuel prices will decrease significantly effective December 5, 2024. Gasoline and diesel prices are reduced by $3.06 and kerosene by $3.06 as well. Liquid petroleum prices also reflect decreases, with propane and butane prices dropping by $0.77 and $0.92 respectively.
Effective Thursday, December 5, motorists in Jamaica will experience a reduction in fuel prices as reported by Petrojam. The price for 90-octane gasoline will decrease by $3.06, bringing it to $164.04 per litre, while 87-octane will also see a decrease to $155.07 per litre.
Automotive diesel fuel will now be priced at $161.47 per litre after a similar reduction of $3.06. Additionally, ultra-low sulphur diesel will be sold at $168.59 per litre, down by $2.94, and kerosene will also drop by $3.06 to $145.15 per litre.
Prices for liquid petroleum products have also decreased, with propane now at $73.34 per litre, down by $0.77, and butane at $82.87, after a reduction of $0.92. Marketing firms will apply their respective mark-ups to these prices before they are finalized at the pumps.
In summary, significant reductions have been announced for various fuel prices in Jamaica, effective December 5, 2024.
