Flooding throughout the city prompted the Church to distribute essential supplies, including food, mattresses, blankets, and bedding, delivered on March 9 at a local meetinghouse, which also served as temporary shelter for evacuated families.

Young adults from the Church in Buenos Aires, located about eight hours north of Bahía Blanca, acted swiftly to aid relief efforts. On March 8 and 11, they organized donations to assist those in need. They were joined by personnel from a local food bank, which facilitated the delivery of two truckloads containing nonperishable food, hygiene products, and essential recovery items to the affected community.

Jeremías Lastarria, a young adult volunteer in the initiative, expressed the rewarding nature of the service, noting it provided participants with a “beautiful feeling.” He acknowledged that, “From a distance, one doesn’t know how much people need in situations like this, but I feel that through service, I could learn more about how important it is to help others.” The Church indicated that further shipments of mattresses, blankets, food, and cleaning supplies are being arranged to continue addressing the needs of the affected population.
