During the CERAWeek conference in Houston, she mentioned that gas from Argentina’s Vaca Muerta region presents an enticing opportunity, as a pipeline connecting Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil could facilitate its transport.

Anjos indicated that Petrobras may also pursue oil opportunity in Argentina. This comes as the company seeks to replenish its oil reserves through international projects, given the challenges it faces in obtaining environmental licenses for drilling within Brazil.

In Colombia, Petrobras is preparing a development plan for an offshore project that has identified 6 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves, pending government approval for the necessary license. An estimated 13 million cubic meters per day of gas will be delivered to Colombia through a newly constructed pipeline.

In Africa, Petrobras anticipates drilling exploratory wells between July and August in an oil block where it holds stakes in Sao Tome and Principe. Additionally, drilling is expected to commence in a region of South Africa during the latter half of the year, according to the executive’s statements.
