Connected Minerals Engages Hammerstein Drilling for New Exploration in Namibia

Connected Minerals has appointed Hammerstein Drilling for its maiden drilling program in Namibia, starting in April. This initial phase focuses on 2,000 meters at Etango North-East before transitioning to Swakopmund. Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) has engaged the Namibian drilling contractor Hammerstein Drilling to initiate a reverse circulation reconnaissance drilling program at the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects in Namibia. This program, commencing in April, will encompass drilling 33 holes over a total of 2,500 meters, with 2,000 meters allocated to Etango North-East and the remaining 450 meters at Swakopmund.

In a statement, the company noted that the drilling will primarily commence at Etango North-East. This location features high-priority targets identified following a rock chip sampling program completed in December 2024. After concluding the Etango North-East drilling, operations will transition to Swakopmund, targeting areas highlighted by a recent horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey.

Warrick Clent, the CEO of Connected Minerals, remarked that Hammerstein Drilling’s appointment signifies a pivotal advancement for the company, setting the stage for drilling operations starting in April. “The commencement of drilling will be a major milestone for Connected Minerals and will build on the encouraging targets we have identified at both projects during our field work to date,” stated Clent.
