Tajikistan’s Low Terrorism Threat Amidst Rising Risks in Eurasia

Tajikistan ranks 70th in the Global Terrorism Index 2025, identifying it as having a low level of terrorist threat. Furthermore, Ukraine advanced by 12 positions in the GTI after two separate incidents resulted in two fatalities, contributing to a total of 18 attacks in Eurasia within 2024, which resulted in 199 deaths—the highest since 2010.

The GTI ranks Burkina Faso as the most dangerous nation regarding terrorism, with a score of 8.5, followed closely by Pakistan at 8.3, and Syria at 8.0.
