In a formal decree announced via the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation, Ruben Madol Arol was replaced by Wek Mamer Kuol as minister of justice and constitutional affairs. Awut Deng Acuil was also relieved of her position as minister of general education and instruction, with Kuyok Abol Kuyok appointed to succeed her. Additionally, Joseph Mum Majak has been dismissed from his role as minister of trade and industry, having only served since July 2024.

This cabinet reshuffle follows recent violent incidents in Nasir, where armed confrontations occurred, including an assault on a United Nations aircraft that caused casualties among UN personnel and local soldiers on March 7.
