President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s official plane has successfully landed in Saudi Arabia. The Airbus A319, operated by Ukraine Air Enterprise, departed from the Polish airfield of Rzeszów–Jasionka at 12:02 Kyiv time and arrived at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah at 16:40 local time. Accompanying Mr. Zelenskyy on this flight were Andrii Yermak, head of the President’s Office, his deputy Pavlo Palisa, along with Foreign Affairs Minister Andrii Sybiha and Defence Minister Rustem Umierov.

The aircraft’s journey spanned a total of 4 hours and 38 minutes, traversing over several countries including Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Egypt. This visit to Saudi Arabia marks an important diplomatic engagement for Ukraine, particularly in the context of ongoing discussions relevant to regional stability.

Prior to this arrival, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had landed in Jeddah on March 9 for bilateral discussions with Ukrainian officials led by Andrii Yermak. Rubio is anticipated to be joined by key US officials, including National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff. Witkoff expressed that the United States expects significant advancements during the upcoming talks scheduled for March 11 in Saudi Arabia.
