Syria’s government has reached an agreement to integrate the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces into state institutions, aiming for full Syrian control over SDF territories. Assad fled to Moscow amidst the uprising. The opposition has since proclaimed a transitional government led by Muhammad al-Bashir, alongside Ahmad al-Sharaa, the de facto leader of Syria, who also assumed the position of interim president.
