Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam informed parliament of PM Modi’s attendance, expressing gratitude for Modi’s agreement to be the guest of honour despite his busy schedule and recent international travels.

In July 2024, India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Twelve community development projects were inaugurated during this visit, bolstering infrastructure and public services in Mauritius.
