On Saturday morning, Nepal experienced twin earthquakes of minor magnitude, reported by the National Earthquake Monitoring Centre. The first tremor, registering a 4.0 magnitude, occurred in Myagdi district at 3:14 a.m., located approximately 40 kilometers from Baglung. The epicentre of this quake was identified in the Muri area.
Shortly thereafter, at 6:20 a.m., a second earthquake struck the Baglung district, measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale. This tremor’s epicentre was determined to be in the Khukhani region, roughly 300 kilometers from Kathmandu. Despite the tremors, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties in the affected areas.
In summary, Nepal was struck by two minor earthquakes this morning, one in Myagdi and the other in Baglung. Fortunately, both quakes resulted in no damage or casualties, providing a sense of relief to local communities amidst the tremors.
