Indo-Pacific Motorized Forum 25: Enhancing Regional Security and Interoperability

Indo-Pacific Motorized Forum 25 gathered senior leaders from the U.S. and allied nations to enhance modernized warfighting capabilities. Hosted at Le Méridien, the event attracted 91 participants, including 42 representatives from the U.S. and 49 from allied nations such as Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

The forum featured contributions from various I Corps subordinate units, including the 7th Infantry Division and the 5th Security Forces Assistance Brigade. Leaders emphasized the forum’s role in promoting force modernization, operational integration, and conducting strategic discussions related to military operations in the region.

Participants actively exchanged ideas regarding modernization and the future of motorized operations. They also explored strategic methods to bolster security cooperation through enhanced training. The Indo-Pacific Motorized Forum 25 has thus emerged as a crucial venue for multinational collaboration, enabling partners to refine their doctrines, tactics, and operational strategies for motorized formations.

U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Matthew W. McFarlane, commanding general of America’s First Corps, recognized the significance of the collaboration among U.S. Army personnel and multinational partners. He underscored their joint commitment to maintaining military efficacy and cohesion in response to regional security challenges.

Lt. Gen. McFarlane stated, “The Indo-Pacific Motorized Forum 25 represents the continued commitment of the U.S. and its allies to enhancing regional security and interoperability. Through collaboration, modernization, and shared operational experiences, we strengthen our collective ability to meet evolving security challenges in the Indo-Pacific.”

On February 27, the Royal Thai Army visited the 112th Stryker Regiment Combat Team Headquarters in Chon Buri, Thailand, to discuss the importance of sustaining adequate military tactical vehicles and to participate in scenario-based training utilizing terrain models. Leaders from the participating nations highlighted their shared military histories and reiterated their common defense goals, affirming the importance of cooperation and interoperability in achieving security objectives. Future Indo-Pacific Motorized Forums are anticipated to further advance these priorities.
