Malaysia Invited to Attend UN Peacekeeping Ministerial Forum in Berlin
Malaysia has been invited to the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial Forum in Berlin in May 2025. Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin emphasized the importance of this invitation in reaffirming Malaysia’s commitment to UN peacekeeping missions. The invitation was presented by German Ambassador Dr. Peter Blomeyer during a recent meeting that included discussions on bilateral relations. Furthermore, Germany and Turkiye were accepted as observer countries in the ADMM Experts’ Working Group.
On March 6, 2023, Malaysia received an invitation to participate in the United Nations Peacekeeping Ministerial Forum scheduled for May 2025 in Berlin. Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin highlighted that Malaysia’s attendance will signify its strong commitment to contributing to UN peacekeeping efforts.

At the previous ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) retreat held in Penang, Germany and Turkiye were accepted as observer countries in the ADMM Experts’ Working Group observer programme.
