Oriole Resources Reports Strong Drilling Results From Cameroon Gold Project

Oriole Resources reports positive drilling results from its Mbe gold project in Cameroon, highlighting a significant high-grade gold intersection. The project shows strong potential for gold mineralization over considerable depth and strike length. The company is advancing its maiden drilling campaign, with further results anticipated in the coming months as it refines its exploration strategy.

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) has expressed optimism regarding the latest drilling results from the Mbe gold project in Cameroon, as articulated by Chief Executive Martin Rosser. The recent findings indicate a high-grade intersection of 4.24 metres at 7.7 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from hole MBDD003, along with multiple wider areas of lower-grade mineralization. Rosser noted, “We are very pleased with the latest results from the second scissor pair of holes at Mbe, which continue to demonstrate the project’s tremendous potential.”

The current drilling campaign at the MB01-S target has achieved over 30% completion, encompassing approximately 2,200 metres drilled across seven holes. These results have substantiated gold mineralization over a strike length of at least 200 metres and a vertical depth of around 290 metres. In addition, hole MBDD004, drilled in a direction opposing that of MBDD003, yielded several gold intersections

Resulting data from MBDD004 included 3.00 metres at 0.99g/t gold from 143.60 metres and 4.60 metres at 0.53g/t gold from 119.00 metres, with a noteworthy interval of 1.20 metres at 1.38g/t gold. Although MBDD004 presented fewer mineralized intersections than anticipated, Rosser asserts it provided essential structural data to enhance the geological model. The scissor hole approach aimed to gather critical geological information.

Currently, two additional drill holes have been accomplished, and a third is underway, with further results anticipated in the second quarter of 2025. Oriole Resources is strategically seeking high-grade zones within broader, lower-grade gold environments while utilizing new data to refine their exploration strategy. The company retains a 90% stake in the Mbe project and is executing the maiden fully funded drilling program in collaboration with BCM International.

BCM International has secured an initial 10% interest and has the opportunity to earn up to an additional 40% interest by investing up to $4 million in exploration activities. Rosser conveyed that the company anticipates more results as drilling continues, further substantiating the project’s potential to yield significant gold mineralization.

In conclusion, Oriole Resources has demonstrated exciting advancements at the Mbe gold project, with significant drilling results that reveal strong gold mineralization potential. The company remains poised for further exploration as drilling progresses, projecting optimism towards its findings and strategic partnerships. This ongoing work not only enhances the company’s geological understanding but also positions Oriole Resources favorably within the gold mining sector.
