Bank of Namibia Introduces N$60 Banknote Honoring Hage Geingob

The Bank of Namibia has unveiled a new N$60 banknote in honor of former president Hage Geingob. During the launch event, Bank governor Johannes !Gawaxab emphasized the significance of the number 60, noting it symbolizes the years Geingob dedicated to serving his nation.
The banknote will be available for circulation within two weeks, with the purpose of conducting public awareness campaigns prior to its release. While it will function as legal tender, only a limited quantity will be issued, designating it a collector’s item.
