UNAMI Commends Iraq’s National Strategic Plan for Women Empowerment
UNAMI has expressed appreciation for the Iraqi government’s launch of the National Strategic Plan for Iraqi Women 2023-2030, acknowledging the vital contributions of women in society while encouraging further support for their roles in promoting rights and stability in Iraq.
The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has commended the Iraqi government’s commitment to empowering women through the launch of the National Strategic Plan for Iraqi Women 2023-2030. During a statement marking Iraqi Women’s Day, UNAMI’s Special Representative, Muhammed Al-Hassan, expressed his congratulations to the Iraqi people, acknowledging the historical roles and sacrifices of women in Iraq.
