2025 Land of the Giants Cycling Event Promotes Conservation in Botswana

The 2025 Land of the Giants cycling event in Mashatu, Botswana, from June 6 to 12, seeks to raise funds for the Tuli Conservation Trust. With cycling trails amid stunning wildlife, participants will experience unique safari adventures while contributing to conservation efforts. From June 6 to June 12, 2025, the Land of the Giants cycling event will take place in Mashatu, Botswana. Organized by Stephen Lansdown, a significant conservationist and the majority owner of Mashatu Game Reserve, this event will gather cyclists globally to support conservation efforts. Proceeds will benefit the Tuli Conservation Trust (TCT) by funding essential projects including anti-poaching initiatives and community empowerment programs.

Participants will navigate between 120 to 180 kilometers of cycling trails over three days, in groups of up to eight riders led by experienced guides. The picturesque routes will traverse rugged landscapes inhabited by elephants, leopards, lions, and cheetahs, providing riders with an extraordinary safari experience. Each team will be accompanied by a game drive vehicle, ensuring safety and enhanced enjoyment.

The cost to join this remarkable event begins at £2,500 per person, sharing accommodations for the six-night LOTG 2025 package. This fee encompasses all meals, daily game drives, the three-day cycling challenge, medical services, and mechanics on duty. Additionally, participants will enjoy two sundowner events, a gala dinner, and a rejuvenation day to visit local communities benefiting from raised funds.

The goal of the event is to promote positive impacts through ecotourism, allocating £780 from every booking directly to the TCT. Ultimately, the event aims to raise 1 million Botswana Pula, equivalent to over $70,000 USD, that will be used for vital conservation efforts. Notably, 98% of employees are Botswana citizens, with 80% hailing from nearby villages.
