MoS Pabitra Margherita Represents India at Uruguay’s Swearing-in Ceremony

Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, represented India at the swearing-in ceremony of Uruguay’s President Yamandu Orsi and Vice President Carolina Cosse. He conveyed greetings from Prime Minister Modi and discussed enhancing relations between the two nations. On March 2, Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, represented India at the swearing-in ceremony of Uruguay’s President Yamandu Orsi and Vice President Carolina Cosse. During the event, Minister Margherita conveyed the warm greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the newly elected government of Uruguay. He expressed anticipation in collaborating to enhance the relationship between India and Uruguay in the future.

In a post on X, Margherita stated, “Honored to represent India at the swearing-in ceremony of President H.E. Yamandu Orsi and Vice President Carolina Cosse. Conveyed warm greetings and felicitations from the Prime Minister of India to the new government of Uruguay. Congratulations to the people of Uruguay on this historic occasion. Prior to the swearing-in ceremony, Margherita paid a floral tribute at the bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Montevideo, Uruguay, and engaged with the local Indian diaspora. He remarked on his honor to promote India-Uruguay relations through this tribute.

Additionally, he arrived in Montevideo on Saturday, February 28, representing India at the ceremony.
