Egypt Announces Completion of Gaza Reconstruction Plan Ahead of Arab Summit

He further called for a comprehensive approach to immigration that connects migration with development and addresses the root causes of irregular migration, while also acknowledging Egypt’s burden of hosting millions of refugees.

During the consultations, Abdelatty updated Šuica on Egypt’s efforts to ensure the stabilization of the ceasefire in Gaza and reiterated the necessity for EU support of the reconstruction initiative. He stated that a permanent, just solution to the Palestinian issue is essential for regional peace and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Abdelatty also reiterated Egypt’s support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while expressing the need for a political solution that encompasses all Syrian constituents. He welcomed the Lebanese government’s recent confidence win, calling it vital for national stability, while affirming Egypt’s commitment to Lebanon’s security and institutions.

Support for Sudan was also discussed, with Abdelatty emphasizing the historical ties between Egypt and Sudan. He expressed a commitment to supporting Sudan’s sovereignty and humanitarian endeavors. Regarding Libya, he stressed the urgency of forming a unified government and the necessity of resolving the executive authority crisis to restore political stability.
