The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has announced the opening of a new border crossing between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. This new crossing, named the Wam border post, commenced operations on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. It is anticipated that this facility will significantly enhance travel connectivity and facilitate trade and passenger movement across the two nations.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of the ICP, emphasized that the operationalization of the Wam border crossing represents a strategic advancement in strengthening the cooperation between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman.
