Deputy Prime Minister Attends Kuwait’s National Day Celebration in Bahrain
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa represented Bahrain at the Kuwaiti Embassy’s reception for Kuwait’s National Day and Liberation Day. He conveyed congratulations from the Crown Prince to Kuwait’s leaders and emphasized the strong ties between Bahrain and Kuwait. The ceremony celebrated past ambassadors and long-serving employees at the embassy, underscoring mutual respect and cooperation.
On February 25, 2025, in Manama, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, represented His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at a reception hosted by the Kuwaiti Embassy in Bahrain. This event commemorated Kuwait’s 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day.
The Deputy Prime Minister, accompanied by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, was welcomed by Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bahrain. During the event, he conveyed the warm congratulations from HRH the Crown Prince to Kuwait’s leadership and its people, reinforcing the bonds of friendship between the nations.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla underscored the robust relations between Bahrain and Kuwait, founded upon extensive cooperation. He reaffirmed the commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HH the Amir of Kuwait towards enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors, benefiting both nations.
Furthermore, he stressed that Bahrain’s engagement in Kuwait’s national celebrations is a testament to the historical ties and shared values they celebrate. The Deputy Prime Minister recognized Kuwait’s influential role in the Gulf Cooperation Council and highlighted its ongoing contributions to regional development and cooperative efforts.
In addition to this, Shaikh Khalid acknowledged Kuwait’s remarkable achievements on the international stage and its dedication to peace and humanitarian initiatives under the leadership of HH the Amir. His sentiments were echoed by Ambassador Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
The event also featured a ceremony honoring Bahrain’s former ambassadors to Kuwait for their dedication to fostering bilateral relations, alongside recognizing Bahraini embassy employees with over 28 years of service for their commitment and contributions.
The National Day celebration not only commemorated Kuwait’s independence but also highlighted the enduring partnership between Bahrain and Kuwait.
