India Critiques Pakistan at UN, Labels It a ‘Failed State’

Counsellor Kshitij Tyagi of India’s Permanent Mission to the UN articulated that the council’s time is wasted by a state that thrives on instability, describing Pakistan’s rhetoric as hypocritical and its governance as incompetent. He reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are undeniably integral to India, highlighting the significant political, social, and economic progress that has been achieved in these regions over recent years.

Tyagi emphasized that Pakistan, a country marked by human rights violations and persecution of minorities, lacks the authority to lecture India on governance. He suggested that instead of fixating on India, Pakistan should focus on effective governance and justice for its citizens. Additionally, he criticized Pakistan for its misuse of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), asserting that such actions are not taken seriously.

By asserting India’s commitment to democracy, progress, and ensuring human dignity for all citizens, Tyagi noted that these are values Pakistan ought to consider adopting. He concluded by remarking on the importance of focusing on regional stability and cooperation rather than engaging in unfounded criticisms directed at India.
